If they miss a scholarship signing, no scholarship will be paid for that month, regardless of the reason.  Scholarships that require signing are: Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship, Japan&#8211;Korea Joint Government Scholarship, JASSO Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students (“Gakushu-Shoureihi”), JASSO Student Exchange Support Program (Scholarship for Study in Japan under Agreement) Scholarship,  JICA Scholarship, and some private scholarships such as Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES), IUCHI Foundation, The Uehara Memorial Foundation, etc.. There is a first and second signing period each month. Please sign once a month during either signing period. However, if you come in the second signing period, your scholarship payment date for that month will be delayed. The monthly signing period are different for each scholarship, so please check the information below.  To verify your identity, we check your residence card when signing. Students who do not have one should bring their passport. Student ID cards are not acceptable. Please be sure to bring your residence card and a ballpoint pen as you will not be able to sign if your identity cannot be verified.
