International students who choose Jissen take classes and participate in events at both campuses. Center for Language Education and International Programs CLEIP, the Center for Language Education and International Programs, was established in 2014 to oversee international programs and to manage foreign language education at Jissen Women’s University. We welcome students from our partner universities from around the world to become part of the Jissen community at our two campuses. We also help prepare Jissen students for both short-term and long-term programs abroad. CLEIP also sponsors university-wide cultural events and organizes short cultural trips for inbound students. The CLEIP staff are attentive to the needs of international students and can communicate with them in either Japanese or English. International Students Students from partner institutions can study at Jissen for one semester or for a full academic year. All international students may join our Global Studies and Japanese language courses. English is the medium of instruction for all Global Studies courses, and our Japanese language courses are available for students of all levels, so each student can create an engaging schedule of classes at the right level. Those students whose Japanese level is at the N1 level or its equivalent may enroll in mainstream academic courses, as well.
