We focus on the following four aspects: employment stability by workers' characteristics, gender inequality in the labor market, the assessment of the minimum wage policy, and the impact of new technology adoption on employment. Through these analyses, we aim to provide the basic information of the Japanese labor market and the evaluation of labor market policies to better inform the policymakers. We employ large size microdata and advanced econometrics techniques to establish a credible causal relationship.
