The Company is always aware that it is a member of society, and has participated in various activities in deepening relationships with local residents to coexist with local communities. Afforestation and Arboriculture Activities at the Sanki Forest and Kansha-no-Mori In October 2015, the company held a tree-planting event in Kai City, Yamanashi Prefecture, marking the 90th anniversary of the foundation. The area, with a total of 1,000 trees planted, was named "SANKI Forest" with a wish of "urther growth of nursery trees and our company for the 100th anniversary of the foundation." In October 2020, we created and planted trees at a new location, called the “Kansha-no-Mori” adjacent to the Sanki Forest to commemorate the tenth anniversary of our “SANKI YOU Eco Contribution Points” system. Sanki Forest Utilization of the Sanki Environmental Garden The Sanki Environmental Garden, which is attached to the Sanki Techno Center, is open to the local community at all times. Many children from neighboring day-care centers visit and enjoy using this facility for the next generation. Agreement for the Provision of Facilities in Times of Disastermm Under an agreement concluded with Yamato City in fiscal 2013, our business site in the city will be made available as a temporary shelter for those unable to return home in the wake of a disaster. The former Yamato Engineering Center was relocated and opened as the Sanki Techno Center in October 2018. Even after the relocation, the agreement still remains in effect. The center has broadened its function to serve regional disaster prevention by adding a new space for those who could be stranded and unable to return home in the event of a disaster. Furthermore, Sanki Engineering has concluded an agreement with Yamato City on the emergency recovery of water supply and sewage facilities. Under the agreement, we will work to restore the functions of the city's water quality management centers promptly in the event they are damaged by a disaster. In fiscal 2022, we constructed a water well to ensure the supply of potable water for neighborhood residents in the event of a disaster until water supply and sewerage systems are restored. The well is registered as Yamato City’s disaster preparedness well. Space in the Sanki Techno Center(lobby) for sheltering people unable to return home in the wake of a disaster Disaster-preparedness well Support for Sports Promotion and Revitalization Since February 2018, we have been an official sponsor of Yamato Sylphid, a women's soccer team in Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture, where the Sanki Techno Center is located. In September 2019, we sponsored a game at Yamato Nadeshiko Stadium as part of our contribution to the community, and many of our employees were there to cheer for the team. We also sponsor the non-profit organization Japan Deaf Rugby Football Union (Deaf Rugby), Japan Handball Association, and East Hokkaido Cranes, an ice hockey team in Kushiro City, Hokkaido Prefecture. Going forward, we will continue to contribute to society by supporting sports while at the same time promoting the creation of a working environment that encourages employees to proactively engage with local communities. Since then, it has developed proposals for putting its comprehensive engineering capabilities toward the early reconstruction of local social infrastructure. Initially focused on current business, the project has involved the management and support departments while also engaging new businesses and in social contribution activities.
